I had the most delightful news on the weekend - Anticipation won the Australian Romance Readers Association (ARRA) Award for Favourite Erotic Romance for 2015!! How cool is that? ARRA are an amazing group. Formed to celebrate the romance genre and connect like-minded readers, they have been a powerhouse down here in Australia ever since their creation. They hold a conference every two years, bringing writers and readers together, and they hand out awards annually. I'm sure I don't need to tell you I was STOKED TO THE BACK TEETH to even be nominated - and in more than one category, no less! Whoever it was out there who put my name forward, bless you. It's always lovely to be noticed, and particularly so when it's readers doing the noticing. When I got word on Saturday night that I'd actually won in the erotic romance category, I was bouncing around like Tigger. Anticipation is only the third book that I've self-published, and winning this award is such a lovely sign that I'm heading in the right direction. A huge thanks to the readers who nominated and voted for me, and to ARRA for holding and hosting these awards.
Now, I know there are a lot of readers wondering what's happening with the Brothers Ink series. I'm working on book 3, Obsession, right now, but it's been slower going than I had hoped. It's getting there, though, slowly but surely. The process has not been helped by the fact that our house is currently having a bloody big box (our new living room!) attached to the back of it. The sound of construction is not conducive to my creative process, let me assure you. But we are nearing the end of the road on the project, and soon my husband and I will be sharing our huge new study (otherwise known as the current living room!!). I have high hopes that it will be a down hill run from then, but at this stage I am not prepared to stick a stake in the ground and predict a release date. But I promise you'll hear from me the moment things become clearer.
Right. Better get back to the writing, eh? Until next time, happy reading.
