Sarah's blog

Shiny and new and squeaky clean!

Sarah Mayberry - Monday, October 10, 2011

Hello! I'm thrilled to be talking to you from my new website. Not only is it beautiful, my fervent hope is that it's hack proof. My last blog was unfortunately the victim of a number of Wordpress hacks, and I finally threw my hands up in the air in disgust and decided to start from scratch. Since it had been a while since I'd updated the site, I decided to give the whole thing a face lift while I was at it, and you're looking at the result.

In content, it's not too different from my last site. If you're interested in my books, there's an excerpt as well as some Behind The Scenes information about each title. If you would like to drop me a line, feel free to comment here on the blog or send me a direct email via the Contact Me button.

If you've dropped by to see what's going on with me as well as what's up with my books, here's a quick update:

I've been madly working away on lots of projects. I have an as yet untitled story that I'm still completing that I am considering self publishing. I'm checking into a few legal matters at the moment and will talk more about this when I can, but the finished book should be about 40,000 words and hopefully very sexy and lots of fun.

I've also got some more Super Romances in the pipeline. All They Need will be released in November. I'm really proud of this book, and excited about how readers will respond to it. And I'm totally in love with the cover - it almost makes me wish it was winter down here in Australia, with the cosy snuggling and whatnot. Almost!

After November, my next Super Romance is due out in March. More Than One Night is a story about a one night stand that turns into a whole lot more. I'll talk more about it when the release date gets closer. Then I believe my next books are tentatively scheduled for August and November of 2012.

So, a big year coming up, and I have several more proposals I'm working on.

Sorry it's taken so long for me to get my site up and operational again. I wanted to do it right and in a way that gave me more control in the future, and thanks to my fabulous designer, Shane from Analogue Creative, I think I've finally cracked that particular nut. Stay tuned for more from me as it occurs to me!

Stay well, and happy reading.

Sarah, love your new website! Such an elegant design. The colors, the props on the homepage.. it's all so distinctive, so you. Love how the objects come to life as you scroll over them. Congrats on a wonderful new space to showcase your books. PS I'm gobbling
up my advance copy of All They Need and loving it!

Hi Joan! Yay! You're my first comment! Thanks for dropping by. I'm so pleased with what Shane has made for me, so glad you like it. Even better that you're enjoying All They Need. (of The Book From Hell as I dubbed it at one stage!)

Hi Anne. Lovely to see you here! I feel a little bit of a fraud taking too much credit for any coolness or chicness, since Shane is the magician, but what the hey!

Hi Carol.I am feeling a little giddy about it all right now - it's so damn cute. Bless you, Analog Design! And am thrilled we were able to incorporate my monkey and my vintage typewriter.

Hi MM. It's nice to BE back, believe me! Such a relief to have the site sorted for a while, at least. Still a few tweaks I want to make, like adding a button so people can subscribe to my New Releases newsletter, but we'll get there... Thanks for dropping
by!

So glad you got all your website problems sorted out! I stumbled upon your pending release the other day on Amazon and pre-ordered it. Thank you for all the wonderful stories. I look forward to each one as a special treat.

Hello from San Francisco! Love, love All They Need and the Alzheimer storyline hit close to home with my Mom diagnosed with dementia. Thank you a wonderful love story!

Hi Lili. So glad you enjoyed All They Need. It was a tough story for me in many ways, but I found the research I did into Alzheimers incredibly moving. Best of luck with caring for your mother, and thanks for taking the time to touch base.

Hi Jacquie. Thanks for dropping by. Yes, the new site is a treat. I'm really happy with it, and the client management system that sits behind it is fantastic - changing things on the site is as easy as sending an email. A big change from the usual huge
production I used to have to go through to get things update. Phew!

Hi Diana. I'm sorry it's taken so long to get my blog and site back up and running - it's been a bit of a slog, but hopefully now I am sorted for some time to come. I will be sharing more about my untitled project soon - I've just been given permission
to use the characters, to I will be writing the back half of the book shortly and sharing more soon, I promise.
